It is bestowed upon prominent individuals who have made significant achievements that have contributed to the cultural, scientific or social advancement of Nevada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"http:\/\/system.nevada.edu\/tasks\/sites\/Nshe\/assets\/File\/BoardOfRegents\/Agendas\/2016\/mar-mtgs\/bor-refs\/BOR-11h.pdf\">Mr. Fred Albrecht<\/a> (posthumously)<\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/system.nevada.edu\/tasks\/sites\/Nshe\/assets\/File\/BoardOfRegents\/Agendas\/2016\/mar-mtgs\/bor-refs\/BOR-11b.pdf\">Mr. Mark Alden<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/system.nevada.edu\/tasks\/sites\/Nshe\/assets\/File\/BoardOfRegents\/Agendas\/2016\/mar-mtgs\/bor-refs\/BOR-11d.pdf\">Ms. Amy S. Zive<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, the following awards were announced:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2016 Regents&#8217; Scholars<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Regents&#8217; Scholar Award is bestowed upon one student from each NSHE institution for their academic achievements, leadership ability and service contributions. Each honoree receives a $5,000 stipend.
